Most studies of domestic abuse of older women have focused on issues of neglect. One of the limitations for researchers in this area is that there is little understanding of how older women define domestic violence, and what sort of solutions to the problem they would find acceptable and utilize. This study seeks in-depth knowledge of these issues, and will provide insights that can be used in subsequent research.
